Cookie notice

1. Scope and technologies

AML SOLUTIONS LTD operates Riwaq and uses cookies and browser storage on riwaq.uk and its portals. Cookies are small files a service stores in your browser. Local storage remembers a choice on that browser until cleared; session storage lasts for the browser session. Our privacy policy explains the information we handle, our contact details and your rights.

2. Essential sign-in and security

Authentication cookies support sign-in, account verification and security, including two-factor verification for staff. They are set by the account and authentication service when needed. The main sign-in session is configured to last up to seven days; shorter verification cookies may expire sooner, and sessions can be revoked or renewed. Clearing or blocking these cookies can sign you out or prevent a secure account function from working.

For sensitive actions, session storage may keep an operation reference to recognise a retry and help prevent duplicate submissions. It does not store payment credentials. These references are removed when the action is completed or when the browser session ends.

3. Choices you ask us to remember

  • Appearance: local storage remembers a light or dark appearance you choose, until you change it or clear storage.
  • Regional notice: session storage remembers dismissal of the US website notice for the browser session. An approximate country supplied with the request can select a regional page; we do not request precise device location.
  • Statistics preference: local storage remembers whether you have turned public site statistics off or on, until you change it or clear storage. It applies to that browser and site origin.

4. Public website statistics

We use a third-party statistics service on selected public marketing pages to understand visits and improve the website. It does not use analytics cookies or persistent cross-site advertising identifiers. Our integration excludes portal pages and removes query strings and fragments from page URLs before reporting a page view. The legal pages themselves are not reported as marketing page views. Website statistics are enabled by default unless you have turned them off.

Use Turn off site statistics in the footer to object at any time, or Enable site statistics to turn them back on. The control works without an account. If the browser prevents preference storage, our integration disables statistics. Changing this choice does not disable essential sign-in and security functions. For the current provider’s identity, processing locations and safeguards, email contact@riwaq.uk.

5. Payments, other sites and browser controls

When you open a payment provider’s form, that provider may use its own cookies or storage for payment security and fraud prevention. Read the notice shown by that provider. Its separate pages and cookies are not controlled by the Riwaq statistics choice. Riwaq does not use advertising, social-media tracking or Flash cookies.

You can inspect, delete or block cookies and site storage using your browser settings. Controls and expiry may differ between browsers and devices. Clearing storage also clears remembered choices, so you may need to turn statistics off again. Contact contact@riwaq.uk if a choice does not work or you need more information.

6. Changes

We will update this notice if these technologies or their purposes change and provide any notice or consent choice required before a new use begins.
